Razer Ouroboros Gaming Mouse Review

The Razer Ouroboros gaming mouse is at the pricier end of the spectrum in the mouse field and is definitely not classed as a cheap gaming mouse, but it’s debatable whether you’d want to spend the extra cash for this mouse, even though it does have many cool features. Being one of the most customizable mice on the market, and having a ton of features, it does justify it’s slightly higher price point than other mice offered by Razer.

Design

Customizability is one of the highlights to the Ouroboros. If you are looking for ways to switch buttons around, add weight to the mouse, or even have different hotkeys set for different games at the time, the Ouroboros is for you. Now, with this customization comes a lack of comfort and handle for your writs. That sacrifice is not noticed by too many but something that other people may want to pay attention to. It is also interesting to note that you can increase or decrease the size of the mouse as well, ultimately giving you a new mouse every time you play a game.

Software

Some of the best features the Ouroboros has comes from its software. You can program the mouse to respond to each game you have and even upload it to the cloud so that any computer can access it. 13 buttons, 12 programmable, comes with this mouse to help with its flexibility and customization.

Performance

The DPI ranges from 100 to 8,200 giving you amazing, precise control over your gaming. You can change this on-the-fly so you can adapt to whatever game you happen to be playing, no matter the genre. The response rate is very low as with all Razer mice, and this combined with precise accuracy gives you the fastest reaction times possible.

As you can see, this is an amazing mouse to own from a company that knows gaming electronics. Razer has been around for a very long time and the Ouroboros happens to be another great product from them. Although the feel and comfort level of the mouse may not be ideal to some, performance and customization often outweighs that con. Give this mouse a try with your next gaming session and see if it revolves around your style of play, substantially increasing your level of skill.

The Ouroboros isn’t quite on the same tier of skill level as Razer’s Deathadder or Diamondback.
