Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Gaming Headset Review

The creative sound blaster tactic headset is the latest gaming headset from creative. Creative are well known to produce gaming equipment, especially their Sound Blaster range that is very popular. The latest installment has proved to be very impressive and has lived up to all the hype and expectation. It is compatible with the PC, Mac, and PS4 but it is not available on the Xbox 1.

Packed with a number of features, the headset is sturdily designed and provides an amazing level of comfort. Unlike other headsets that start to make the ears and head uncomfortable if worn for longer periods, the Sound Blaster tactic headset provides cushioned cups even after wearing them for long periods of time. They can be used to cut off surrounding sounds very easily so you are not distracted by the surrounding stimulus. Another innovative invention this headset provides that if the volume is raised, it does not disturb the people around you. The sound is kept between the headsets and your ears. The quality of sound is very rich and there are options for default settings so you can set the sounds to your liking. Equalizer settings can be adjusted and effects can be added to alter surrounding sounds. In a few words, these headsets are one of the best you can get if you are a gamer.

One of the other features the Sound Blaster Tactic enables you to do is that you can change the LED’s in each ear cup. This is a fun feature that can add a certain attraction and make your headphones more desirable. Another fun feature is the voice changer that is just another feature which isn’t a necessity but makes for some fun times.

While other headset companies have opted to create flashy designs, the Creative Sound Blaster Tactic headset has kept its design very simple. The controls are very well placed to increase comfort levels for users but this is also a problem people seem to have with it. At times it seems too boring for a gaming headset. tactic3d embedAnother feature it provides is that the microphone of the headset can be detached from the device. This feature did not completely convince me as a gamer because during heated gaming sessions the microphone could accidentally detach and cause annoyance. On the other hand, the quality of the microphone is very good.

The battery life is excellent as the headset works for up to 15 hours but one major disappointment is that there’s no option to use a wired connection on the headset. Most gaming headsets allow this feature and they provide ports or cables to plug in mobiles or tablets. These headsets don’t provide that and limit themselves a lot. Another annoyance was that the headset has no automatic power saving feature, so if you close down your PC, the headset remains turned on. But this isn’t too big of an issue because of the 15-hour battery life.

Personally, I would buy the Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D headset because it is one of the cheapest headsets on the market and as compared to competing products, it provides a lot of more features than other products. It may have its fair share of drawbacks but it would be a good purchase.
