Razer Blade 2016 Gaming Laptop Review
Razer Blade 2016, the latest version of Razer Blade, is said to be one of the thinnest and fastest gaming notebooks present in the market. It has numerous features, an astounding design, and a remarkable performance, which make it perfect for notebook users and gamers around the world. The Blade didn’t make it onto the best gaming laptop of 2016 list though, which is surprising.
Razer Blade is specially designed for users who are always on the go and travel a lot with their notebook. It has a 14-inch (3200 x 1800) QHD touch display that pours out about 5.76 million pixels to give users a vivid, well-defined, and color-intensified experience. Its weight is approximately 4.25 lbs. or 1.93 kg, which makes it very light and easy to carry anywhere.
Also, it has a thickness of 0.70-inch, which is lesser than the thickness of a dime, meaning that it is an incredibly slim gaming laptop which can easily settle down in a bag or a case. Since it is powered by Razer Chroma, the keyboard of Razer Blade is illuminated with colorful lighting, which is comprised of 16.8 million colors per key.
Razer Blade has an anti-ghosting keyboard. There is no additional space for macro keys but due to Razer Synapse, users can assign macro keys on any key and easily remap them. Furthermore, there are a few built-in lighting themes available on this notebook and users can also set up Chroma lighting effects according to their liking.
Since it is designed for travel, it comes with a slim and compact power adapter of 165 watt, which is easy to carry and adds no extra weight. Another exceptional feature of the Razor Blade is the Thunderbolt 3 port with a speed of 40 Gbps. It is a compact port which has the potential to connect Thunderbolt devices, USB, PCI Express and display.
It also comes with software developed by Razer to improve the user’s experience. This software includes Razer Comms for messaging, Razer Cortex for accessing an array of tools while playing, Razer Surround for a surround sound experience, and Razer Synapse for remapping macro keys.
Other features that can attract any user to buy this gaming laptop are Windows 10 (64-bit) OS, built-in webcam, HDMI 1.4b video and audio output, Bluetooth 4.1, Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater Edition, built-in 70Wh rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery, and many more.
It is said to be the most advanced and fastest notebook present for gaming. It is supported by the 6th generation quad-core Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, a 16GB dual-channel onboard memory, and up to 512GB PCIe solid-state storage which augments its performance and makes it three times speedier than a conventional notebook. This increase in speed helps the user in quick booting and faster launching of games. Due to its anti-ghosting keyboard, it assists the users in concurrently pressing keys with accuracy so that they can perform commands as swiftly as possible.
