Acer Predator Z35 35-inch Curved G-Sync Gaming Monitor Review

A few years ago, purchasing a monitor wasn’t as difficult as it is now. People used to consider the size of the screen and whether or not the display provides a high-definition image. But today, monitors are brimmed with endless features that picking a particular monitor without comparing it to a hundred other models sounds impossible. However, some products don’t allow us to compare them to others as they outshone their rivals in the market, just like the Acer Predator Z35. Here is a detailed review of this excellent product.

Acer Predator Z35 Review

The 35-inch Acer Predator Z35 has a 21:9 aspect ratio and a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1080, providing users with a large enough display. The monitor is curved from the back and has a matte black housing with red accents. It comes with a solid red and black aluminum stand that provides up to five inches of height and a tilt adjustment of thirty degrees. However, the unit doesn’t allow users to pivot the panel as it lacks this feature. Just like its housing, the screen has an anti-glare, matte coating to avoid an undesirable glossy look that reflects everything and makes it harder to look at the screen.

At the bottom side of the bezel, you can find six buttons along with a set of programmable LED lights. You can customize the lights in any of the following colors: blue, green, orange, red, and white. Apart from that, it allows you to target your opponents on the spot by setting up aim points. It also contains a pair of 9-watt speakers that are powerful and loud and produce better than average bass sound. Moreover, it has two video inputs, an HDMI input, and a full-sized DisplayPort input. At the rear of the monitor, there are four downstream and one upstream USB 3.0 ports.

The package includes an assortment of cables to connect the device to its respective sources. It contains HDMI, DisplayPort, and upstream USB cables. It also includes a Quick Start guide and three-year warranty on backlight, labor, and parts.

The Acer Predator Z35 is an excellent monitor with an incredibly high resolution. It’s not wrong to equate its resolution to two standard HD displays placed next to each other. The monitor delivers an extremely pleasant and vivid image that is exceedingly good as compared to other HD screens. However, if you’re a person who doesn’t want even a fraction of imperfection in the image, then you might not feel satisfied with this display because while it does provide a clear-cut picture, it can’t properly manage the tempo in bright situations. Sometimes, you might even notice the visibility of individual pixels. Overall, the panel manages to push out incredible vibrancy, yet clarity is lost. Apart from that, with design, connectivity, and features in mind, it is an exceptionally great product.

  • High contrast ratio and brighter screen.
  • Supports up to 200Hz refresh rate.
  • Built-in 8-watt powerful speakers.
  • Good gaming features and performance.

  • A low density of pixels.
  • Clarity is lost in bright situations.
  • The screen can’t be pivoted.
