Gigabyte GM-M6900 Gaming Mouse Review
The GM-M6900 is one of the new models of gaming mouse developed by Gigabyte to provide accuracy during swift motion on-screen and thus, accommodate the needs of gamers. Created with a USB interface, the GM-M6900 is available at a price of $29.99 very similar to the Gigabyte series mice such as the Force M9 and the GM-M6800.
This advanced gaming mouse makes a strong impression on sight. It is black in color and has been built with a glossy, smooth exterior. It possesses a height of 7.2-inch, a width of 2.8-inch, and a length of 9.6-inch. Weighing just 1 pound, the device has been given gorgeous curves and contours to fit in the palm.
Its design includes a total of seven programmable buttons, including the standard mouse wheel that is used for scrolling. Out of the remaining six buttons, two are the standard left and right buttons, while the other two are located on the left side. These are intended to be used for navigation across the screen and are positioned above a rubber segment for the thumb. The remainder two of six buttons are located on the top of the device and used to adjust the dots per inch (DPI) level. The bottom of the device includes four pads for resistance over slippery surfaces and the optical sensor towards the left.
It has a 1.8m cable with a gold-plated connector.
Gigabyte has manufactured the GM-M6900 with some excellent features. One of the key features is the optical sensor, particularly designed for gaming purposes. It has a 3200 dots per inch (DPI) level. This offers premium tracking resolution, allows acceleration up to 3G and enables the device to perform better.
Another key feature is that the mouse allows the user to quickly adjust the dots per inch (DPI) level. The DPI can be switched in 3 stages, from 800 to 1600 to 2000. There are 3 light emitting diodes (LEDs) located on top of the mouse to indicate the stage of the DPI switch.
The wheel embedded on the top of this device can be moved in all four directions (up, down, left, and right) rather than the basic two directions (up and down).
It works well with the GIGABYTE FORCE application, which offers a simple drop-down menu. Through the menu, users can adjust mouse functions easily according to their requirements.
Users have appreciated the new model, particularly its excellent precision and price. It has been found to provide good value for money, given its reasonable price and outstanding features. The traction pads underneath help keep the mouse in place, while the rubber grips on the side enable a firm grip. Moreover, the USB connector offers stability in signal transfers and is ideal. Furthermore, the 3200 DPI optical sensor is ideal for first-person shooter (FPS) games.
